lauren + ben = love in hawaii {phoenix, wedding photographer}

love.  beginnings.  serenity.

I met Lauren while I was back shooting in Cincinnati, we both grew up there but now live in different cities.  I could tell right away that I liked her a lot (and that is not just because I think most people from Cincy are rad) we chatted about what she does, where she was moving and the man she was in love with!  I was lucky enough to shoot their engagement session up in San Fransico where I got to meet Ben. My first impression of him was how genuine he is and how much these two dig each other!!  Months go by and I got to travel to Hawaii for their big day!! I have to say it was FANTASTIC!! The location they choose was breathtaking and I could not have felt luckier that I got to shoot their most special day.  I could go on and on and on about what an amazing day it was but I figure the pictures do better justice.  (warning: an overload of an amazing couples wedding day is about to happen!)

Christina Santelli - AMAZING! Truly.

babies, babies everywhere. {phoenix, newborn photographer}

welcome. new. lifetime.

This has been a busy few weeks for newborn photography and the crazy thing is that they are all my college friends that are having the babies!  It has been so much fun to witness the joy of my friends adding another little human in their lives.  I showed up at Ronan’s house for his first ever professional photo shoot and he ROCKED it!! I hung around for a few hours to catch normal activities with a newborn.  Thanks Megan, Danny and boys for letting me document the beginning of yet another adventure!12015-04-21_00012015-04-21_00022015-04-21_00032015-04-21_00042015-04-21_00052015-04-21_00062015-04-21_00072015-04-21_00082015-04-21_00092015-04-21_00102015-04-21_00112015-04-21_00122015-04-21_00132015-04-21_00142015-04-21_00172015-04-21_00182015-04-21_00192015-04-21_0020

relax. enjoy. friendships.

A few weekends ago I went up to Sedona for some shoots and friend time.  I wanted to share this session for a few reasons… 1. I LOVED the idea of capturing friends hanging out while they vacationed.  2. I LOVED how they turned out. 3. I want to show you guys sessions that are out of the box.

One of my dear friends that I normally shoot while I am up in Seattle was going to be in Sedona with 5 other couples and their friends, she wanted to capture their group just being.  If you know anything about me this is RIGHT up my ally!! I got to the house and quite a few of the kiddos were napping so I got to hang listening to them play guitar and practicing yoga (did I tell you how rad this group is!) after that a few more little ones woke up and I got to capture the whole group!  Enjoy!12345678910111213141516171819202122232425262728293031

a little bit about me {phoenix, family photographer}

passion.  joy.  life.

Here is a post that has nothing to do with me taking pictures, but just the opposite.  A few months ago I decided I wanted to have my pictures taken, I needed some updated photos to put on my website, blog and social media.  As much as I love being behind the camera is about as much as I don’t enjoy being in front of it… or so I thought.  I spent hours trying to figure out what to wear, and there was just one of me  (well Hoover did not need anything fancy) and trying to figure out what I wanted to show in my pictures.  Like I shoot you guys, I just wanted to show my energy so that when I look back at these I remember who I was at this time of my life. Trevor (my awesome photographer) showed up and made it so much easier then I had expected.  We spent some time at my house because I want to show my clients and friends a little bit more about me and my surroundings, and then we went a mile south and spent some time in the arts district in Phoenix.  Since you guys let me into your life, I just wanted to invite you into mine a bit.
