fall in portland {phoenix, family photographer}

home. fall. friends.

While I was in Portland I got to catch up with one of my good buddies from college and his gorgeous family. As you all know I LOVE an at home session, it shows who you are and the kiddos are normally pretty comfortable in their own environment.  Well, this is no exception – we had SOOOOOO much fun!  Starting in Pajamas and ending in their holiday Halloween gear!

volunteer.  family.  texture.

I have been shooting this adorable family for years and they never fail to have fun, bring smiles and show me a new awesome location to shoot at.  This year we headed to Volunteer Park in Seattle and let me tell you it did not disappoint!  The textures and colors were perfection and ending in an old water tower was the cherry on top.  Check them out below!

beauty. beach. blue.

My first thought when I met this family…. HOLY BEAUTIFUL.  We met up at a private beach where we had to hike about 15 minutes to get to this location – which made the adventure even more fun. Once we got to the bottom of the hike we played in the trees for a bit and the tunnel while we waited for the sun to be perfect on the beach…  Instead of rambling on, why don’t you just check out these gorgeous photos!

farewell {phoenix, family photographer}

adventure. travel. new.

I had my last Phoenix session with this cute foursome this past week…. They are off on a new adventure to California and we will sure miss them!  We decided to do the session at home as this is where their family of four began and I love nothing more then documenting real life so that when we look back it brings us back to certain memories and times.  Good luck on your next journey!!

kansas city. I’m so in love. {phoenix, wedding photographer}

kansas city.  family.  love.

I felt so honored when my cousin asked me if I would photograph her wedding – not only is she gorgeous but she has the sweetest heart.  I decided to make a road trip out of her big day, stopping in Denver for a week before heading east to Kansas City, a town I have never been to.  The rehearsal dinner was the first time I met her soon to be hubby, and honestly the first few words that come to mind after spending just a little bit of time with him is authentic, genuine and you could tell he loved my cousin.  The big day arrives and let me tell you it was a HOT one and that is coming from someone that lives in Phoenix, Arizona where it is in the 100’s all summer long.  Mal and Andy were calm, cool (well let’s be real, we were all sweating) and collected as they let me document their big day.  Thanks you two for letting me not only be there but letting me capture your memories as well.  Congrats and I wish you nothing but love and happiness in your future!!
